In the 12 years we have been brewing beer, we’ve focused on brewing top-fermented, dark and strong flavored ales. And traditionally, bottom-fermented pilsners tend to be lighter, clear and golden. And our “First Pilsner” is no exception—with a gorgeous color and rich flavor, I promise you won’t be disappointed. So why the change you ask? Because we wanted to surprise our fans with a pilsner with a distinct Ise Kadoya twist. When I started to brew “First Pilsner”, I had a very distinct image in mind—that of an intelligent woman, pure and gorgeous and slightly reserved.
Brewing this kind of beer required a lot of subtlety and balance since we used a different kind of hopping method while at the same time, maintained our basic preparation process. And we feel our method paid off because the “First Pilsner” has a sharp flavor and a gorgeous hoppy aroma and when poured, creates a great head. Dare I say, this is just what I imagined!
“First Pilsner” is a satisfying beer that will go with any meal and won’t leave you with an empty feeling the way some pilsners do. If you don’t believe me, I invite you to try one yourself!
Cheers!
